Another update on the arena...
So here is a picture of the crew installing the turf on one of the fields at the new indoor facility. They have completed 75% of that area, and should be finishing it up early tomorrow morning to start on the loading dock field...
Also, I have been working on getting an online scheduling system up so that players can preregister for open sessions, and book private parties online. That should launch mid week next week.
And in more news, I would highly encourage anyone that is interested in being one of the first to play at the new facility to sign up for our newsletter. The reason I encourage this is simple, because we are looking at hosting an invite only sesssion at the new facility. This invite will go out through the email... Once that goes out, players will be required to preregister via the new online system. Space will be limited to this invite only session. There is a possibly there will be (2) of these sessions, one to test the facility with 15-25 people, and another to test with 40-45 people at the facility. SO, if you want to be one of the first to play at the new facility, SIGN UP FOR THE NEWSLETTER!!!
You can sign up for the newsletter here: https://app.expressemailmarketing.com/Survey.aspx?SFID=79329
For the Snohomish Outdoor Paintball Park, we have been working on adding a 3rd field to the site. The field will be a defend the base style field. I have got the posts up, and 1/2 the netting hung. I am planning on finishing up the rest of the netting, and adding bunkers this weekend and early next week, hoping to have that field playable by next weekend.
Thanks for following and check back for pictures new field in Snohomish to come soon.

Indoor Arena update
Well, some people asked to be kept up to date on our (Doodlebug Sportz) new Indoor Paintball field so here it is...
For the new bathroom/offices/storage room the painted today and will be putting on the final coats of paint in the morning, same with the new check in area...
Was had a great janitoral service come in today and clean the floor of the larger field, since the crew will be in tomorrow to install the turf...
We also got most of the tarps up today and let me tell you, these things make it much much brighter... One picture is with the tarps, the other is one of the sections we did not put a tarp up in yet.
These were supports... now they are bunkers...
Lights off... still pretty dang bright!
Preview of the Alamo/Pistols field...
The store is coming along also... we will be working on our repair room and the store office tomorrow.
Today I am starting to understand what my parents were talking about when they said 'you will understand when you are older.' I realize that I only understand one part though... Their part... I do not understand why people do what they do, or think I ever will. Peoples actions definately speak louder than there words. Some people just do not understand that weather or not you intented to do something is irrelevant. It is the action that does the real talking.
Definately been a short day. I am not tired at all so I am going to read for a bit. Hot yoga will be fun tomorrow, then another late night working at the field to get everythinng ready. I am hoping that the netting gets here soon...
PS. I suggest anyone that is interested in being one of the first few to play at the new indoor sign up for the DBS newletter. Just go to doodlebugsportz.com and in the top right part of the header picture there is a link to sign up. It looks like a newspaper I believe. We will most likely be doing a special session for people on the newsletter. The catch is that we will be limiting the # of people for these sessions to test things out. We are also going to have an online reservation system that will allow players to reserve a spot for open sessions, or private parties... Gotta work out the bugs somehow right!

Updates...
So... the weekend another week has gone by. I haven't had any pop or alcohol in 2.5 days. Feeling good and liking being disciplined. I also had hot yoga this morning and my mom came along. She did great. It is good to have my familia being active. Since I haven't been working out as much and with all the havoc of trying to set up a new indoor paintball field I had put on a little weight. I got up to 220 pounds, but it is easily being address and brought back down to a comfortable level. This morning pre-yoga I weighed in at 205. I think I will shoot to get down to 190 pounds, but not sure that is a good goal or target. I think it is better to set performance based goals... as even when I weighed 220 pounds I ran from my house to work (which is right at 9 miles) in 1 hour and 40 minutes, which includes the stop I made at Subway to grab some lunch for the day. I would say that is pretty good considering that I haven't ran any distance more than a mile for approximately 2 years...
As a part of my health goal, I have been debating running again. The crappy part is that I do not like the run around my house. When I was in high school I lived by Forest Park, so the 5 mile loop I used to cruise through was quite pleasant. By my place now there are not sidewalks for a lot of the run, and don't even consider running at night as you will surely roll an ankle since it gets pretty dark. I need to find a new place to get my jog on...
Anyways, that is the quick update. Got to get off to work. Maybe I will post up some pictures of the progress we have made at the new facility later tonight...
And using this blog to keep myself accountable is amazing!

NEW 30 day goal
So, this morning at Hot Yoga, during a few poses I felt a little grumbling in my stomach. It was annoying, and the day seemed slightly harder than normal... and I know why. Because last night Ann and I went out with some friends and had 'a few drinks.'
Over the last couple of months I have over endulged in the pleasures of life, and I have decided to excersice my discipline and take a 30 day sibatical from drinking alcohol or... Mountain Dew. I say Mountain Dew specifically because I do not drink any other pop... I will update on how the challenge is going every couple of days.
-I am also going to attempt to consume 100 ounces of water per day (half my body wieght).
In better news, I really like hot yoga. It is not tough, and the tempature is kind of pleasing. I like the fact that I now dedicate 1 hour every other day to stretching. It is also nice that Ann goes with me. We've got to keep ourselves disiplined and doing things to stay in shape. I can already feel myself walking down an unhealthy road with the alcohol and mountain dew... I do not need to be sitting around all the time.
Anyways, breakfast time is over, time to head to work. Hoping to unload turf today, and then work out at our Snohomish Outdoor Paintball Park (www.doodlebugsportz.com). Jeremy and I discussed cleaning up the site and working on adding a 3rd field out at our outdoor field.

My new blog
Hello everyone,
So... the day comes were I start my own blog. I will be using this space for a few key reasons, such as; getting feedback for videos I make for my family's company, Doodlebug Sportz (http://www.doodlebugsportz.com), to help/give advice to people that play paintball, and to generally document things I have been up to.
I am glad to start this blog, as it gives me a place to interact with friends, family, and others that can get crucial feedback from. I want to thank anyone that checks this out, even my friends that are probably thinking "man that is stupid/a waste of time."
A few good ways to follow up with what I've got going on and to find out more about me:
-Check out my families company website (http://www.doodlebugsportz.com). I manage the site and content. Current plans for the site are to add video to each page to help assist our customers in better understanding the sport of paintball, and in turn attracting more people into the sport.
-Follow me on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000120221203). Be forewarned, I don't post much there, typically just chat with friends.
-Follow me here! I will be posting most of my updates here, as I can type out as much as I want.
Here are a few things I TRY to do daily:
-READ. I try to read at least 15 minutes a day, although this does not happen everyday. It is a very good habit to get into, and for those of you that do not currently read, I would suggest you start with "The Slight Edge." It is a great book that puts out a very simple principle that will benefit everyone (plus it is an easy read).
-EXERCISE. I try to spend a minimum of 45 minutes dedicated to working out each day. I have signed up for a month of hot yoga. I go every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6:30 AM with my brother and girlfriend.
-EAT HEALTHY. Please note, the top of this says things I TRY to do daily...
One thing that I need to do is set goals for myself. I need to set clear, attainable goals... Something I will try and do and get up in within the next week. I also need to stop talking in such loose terms as TRY. I need to stop TRYING, and just start doing… so I WILL have my goals up within the next week.
I think I will like this blogging thing, as it gives me a place to get out some knowledge (some good, some bad) that MAY help others, and gives me something to be accountable to. It is important for everyone to be accountable to someone/something.
That is all for now. More to come on things that I am working on and things I want to accomplish. Thanks for reading,
Danny
